SEED 'Expanding Our Craft Horizons' 04 April 2012
Local craft businesses are being offered a new, exciting and contemporary craft development Programme entitled SEED ‘Expanding Our Craft Horizons’
Six of the seven neighbouring local authorities of the SEED (South East Economic Development) consortium - Ards Borough Council, Armagh City & District Council, Banbridge District Council, Craigavon Borough Council, Down District Council and Newry & Mourne District Council respectively - have come together to launch a new SEED (South East Economic Development) Craft Development Programme entitled ‘Expanding Our Craft Horizons’ . The launch was hosted by Ards Borough Council,( the lead council for this programme), in Banbridge Enterprise Centre, Banbridge on Wednesday 28th March 2012.
This new and exciting contemporary programme is designed for crafts people to expand their businesses by doing something completely new.
The programme is designed to provide innovative growth opportunities
• offer links to successful creative industries entrepreneurs and other business sectors
• provide design expertise to increase global opportunities
• create opportunities for collaboration
This programme is part financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the EU Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland 2007 - 2013
This is the first of two waves of the programme and each council area is inviting craftspeople to get involved.
