Banbridge District Council has three core functional departments: Leisure and Development, Corporate Services and Environmental Services. Each department has its own specific areas of responsibility. The Council's Environmental Services Department encompasses the three sub-departments of Building Control, Environmental Health and Technical Services. The departments and their responsibilities are as follows:

Consumer safety, dog control, environmental protection, food safety, health and safety, licensing and regulatory services, public health and housing. |
| Technical Services |
Bulky waste, cemeteries, public conveniences, recycling, refuse collection and street cleaning. |
