Southern Regional College (SRC) came into existence on 1st August 2007, when three of the province's top further education colleges merged. The new regional college comprises the former FE Colleges of Armagh, Newry and Upper Bann and will cater for around 50,000 students and over 1,000 staff. The college aims to offer you a fully supportive lifelong learning environment where your personal learning needs are our first priority regardless of whether you are a school leaver, an adult learner, an employer, or whether you wish to study in your own workplace, in your local community, from your own home or on-line. Southern Regional College has a wide range of full-time and part-time courses available. You will be taught by highly experienced and caring lecturers and have access to excellent student advice, guidance and support facilities whichever campus you choose to study at - Armagh, Banbridge, Kilkeel, Lurgan, Newry or Portadown.

Higher Education
Southern Regional College offers a wide range of higher education courses by full-time or part-time study and many of these are in partnership with University of Ulster, Queen's University Belfast, University of Huddersfield and Thames Valley University, London. Higher education programs are available at the following levels: HNC; HND; Diploma; Foundation Degree; Degree. Areas that we cover include Accounting; Adult Access; Art & Design; Beauty Therapy; Business; Construction; Engineering; Furniture Design; Music Technology; IT; Media and Health and Social Care. Training for Success
Southern Regional College offers Training for Success, a training program designed for young people aged 16-24 to provide them with the skills required to progress within the workplace. Training for Success is based on workplace-based apprenticeships. Young people train as they work therefore gaining industry-led qualifications in the skills business seeks today. Training areas that we cover include: Business and Administration; Beauty Therapy; Barbering; Brickwork; Construction Engineering; Horticulture; Plastering; Wood Occupations; Stonemasonry; Painting and Decorating; Pharmacy Services and Sport and Recreation.

Flexi-Learn
Southern Regional College provides a flexible method of course delivery through the Flexi-Learn programme. This provides opportunities for learners to gain a qualification at a time and pace that suits their individual lifestyles. In most cases it involves attending one evening class per month plus developing a personal timetable of study at a location and time which best suits them. - Essential Skills and ESOL
Essential Skills are the ability to read, write and speak English and use Maths at a level necessary to participate in society and working life. We offer a range of free courses both in college and in the community to encourage adults who may experience difficulties with learning or gaining employment. Essential Skills classes take place in a relaxed atmosphere with helpful and sympathetic tutors who help the students gain improved English and Maths skills for use in work, college or in their personal lives. Class numbers are kept quite small to give students the attention they need. Our tutors are very experienced and supportive and will give you advice with all your study needs.
- Esol
Southern Regional College offers support for those who do not speak English as their first language. We provide courses for, those learning English for the first time, those wishing to obtain qualifications in English as a second language. In addition to classes within the college, classes can be arranged to suit the needs of learners. These may be requested by employers or community groups and can be held in out-centres. Students have the opportunity to take qualifications in Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing at Entry Levels 1-3 and Level 1 and 2.
- SRC Business Support Centres
Southern Regional College Business Support Centres provide specialised business support services, facilities and customised training for SMES. Business Support Centres are based on Armagh, Portadown and Newry campuses. Services available include: Training Needs Analysis; On-Site Training via a mobile IT bus if required; On-Line Learning/ E-Learning; Daytime, Evening or Weekend Courses; Quality tailor-made training courses; Web Page Design; The Business Club; Business Seminars; Hot-Desking Facilities; Pre-Incubation Facilities and Prototyping. A wide range of programmes are delivered including Health & Safety; NEBOSH, First Aid at Work; Management & Leadership; Engineering; Accountancy; Financial Services; Retail; Construction; Pharmacy; Care; Hospitality; Tourism; Manufacturing; Information Technology and Communication. - Education in the Community
Lifelong learning ensures that adults have access to learning and training to improve knowledge, skills and qualifications, Lifelong learning staff work with a wide range of Community/Voluntary groups advising them on what courses are available for adults within the community. SRC offer education at a large number of out-centres across the region.
- Vocational Enhancement Programme
Southern Regional College works with many local schools to deliver vocational programmes in either the schools themselves or in college. A wide range of vocational areas are offered to students including; Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Childcare, Training for Success and Sport.
