Playing Fields

Banbridge District has a wide range of high quality playing fields located in all parts of the District with pitches suitable for all types of sports, including soccer, hockey, bowling and rugby. These playing fields include:


Cheney Park This playing field has a senior grass pitch and changing unit.
Crystal Park  (Banbridge) Senior grass pitch that is home to Banbridge Town Football Club who provide clubhouse facilities. 
Ferris Park
(Dromore)  

This sports complex has extensive facilities, including a full-sized, sand-based hockey pitch with flood lights, two flood-lit tennis courts, a grass football pitch and a changing pavilion. The pavilion also houses a committee room and has extensive car parking facilities.

King George V Playing Fields (Banbridge) This sports complex contains a bowling green, 3 synthetic tennis courts (2 floodlit)and a top quality pavilion. It is home to Banbridge Mens and Ladies Bowling Clubs and Banbridge Tennis Club. This facility acquired a new pavilion in October 2003 at a cost of £400,000 paid for by Banbridge District Council. The Pavilion boasts a large multi-functional area, which is used regularly to accommodate indoor bowling, seminars, group meetings, dances and  exhibitions.
Havelock Park (Banbridge) This park offers a top quality floodlit synthetic pitch, senior and junior soccer pitches and a synthetic athletics training track. It has a 900m pathway around the perimeter of the development, which is extremely popular for walking and jogging. It has an excellent pavilion and a modern changing block. Banbridge Hockey Club is now based within Havelock Park with their club house sitting alongside the Park's pavilion.
Holm Park
(Dromore)
Situated one mile from the centre of Dromore, the Holm Park complex includes Dromore Community Centre. The Park has 2 soccer pitches, 2 floodlit synthetic tennis courts, a bowling green and 2 changing units. 
Woodlands Park (Gilford)  This park has a senior grass pitch and changing unit. It also has an outdoor basketball court.
Rathfriland Bowling Pavilion

This bowling complex provides a bowling green and will have a new pavilion by August 2005. The pavilion has plentiful parking and is accessible for the disabled.

Scarva Park This park has a senior grass pitch and changing unit.
