The Lagan in these reaches is a small (3 5m) River with an excellent head of Brown Trout. There are quite a few small fish but always the chance of one around the pound mark. The banks are refreshingly clear of barbed wire and the fishing largely fly only except for a few deep pools where worming is permitted. There is fly life right from the start of the season and indeed the first four months offer the best sport.
Recommended flys:- Early Season Olives, Iron Blue, Black Midge, Black Knat and Hares Ears.
